Dimensions – seat height and weight of the motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters we use for training

We hope that you fit our bikes, but if you are at all unsure then we urge you to take an Introductory Lesson. We own over 150 bikes and you can see the different types, their dimensions, and what we use them for below.

Yamaha Neo (electric)

Seat height – 795mm (31.3″). Weight – 90kg (198lb).

We use this for CBT courses and Introductory Lessons. It is classed as 50cc and can be used by 16 year olds. It can be ridden on a CBT with L-plates (or without if you have a car licence).

Honda SH125 Mode

Seat height – 765mm (30.1″). Weight – 118kg (260lb).

We use this for CBT, Introductory Lessons, Road Riders, and A1 Auto Light Motorcycle Licence. It can be used by 17 year olds and ridden on a CBT with L-plates. 

Honda CB125F and CB125F (GLR)

Seat height – 790mm (31.1″) or 775mm (30.5″) (GLR). Weight 117kg (257lb) or 128kg (282lb) (GLR).

We use these (the GLR is being phased out) for CBT, Introductory Lessons, Road Riders, and A1 Light Motorcycle Licence. It can be used by 17 year olds on a CBT with L-plates.

Honda SH350i

Sear height – 805mm (31.7″). Weight – 172kg (379lb).

We use these for Back to Biking Mod 1 Training Sessions, Mod 1 Test Sessions, Mod 2 Training Sessions, and Mod 2 Test Sessions for the A2 Auto Restricted Licence. It can be used once you pass an A2 Auto Restricted Licence without L-plates.

Honda CB300F

Seat height – 789mm (31″). Weight – 153kg (337lb).

We use these for Back to Biking, Mod 1 Training Sessions, Mod 1 Test Sessions, Mod 2 Test Sessions, and Mod 2 Test Sessions for the A2 Restricted Licence. These are only available in Wembley and Stourbridge. It can be ridden without L-plates on an A2 Restricted Licence.

Triumph Street 400

Seat height – 790mm (31.1″). Weight – 170kg (374lb).

We use these for Back to Biking, Mod 1 Training Sessions, Mod 1 Test Sessions, Mod 2 Training, Sessions, and Mod 2 Test Sessions for the A2 Restricted Licence. These are only available in Swindon, Oxford, Reading, and Stourbridge. It can be used without L-plates on an A2 Restricted Licence.

Honda CB500F

Seat height – 785mm (30.9″). Weight – 189kg (416lb).

We use these for Back to Biking, Mod 1 Training Sessions, Mod 1 Test Sessions, Mod 2 Training Sessions, and Mod 2 Test Sessions for the A2 Restricted Licence. They are only available in Oxford, Wembley, and Swindon, and are being phased out. It can be ridden without L-plates on an A2 Restricted Licence.

Suzuki SV650

Seat height – 785mm (30.9″). Weight – 200kg (440lb).

We use these for Back to Biking, Mod 1 Training Sessions, Mod 1 Test Sessions, Mod 2 Training Sessions, and Mod 2 Test Sessions for the Full DAS Licence. They are only available in Oxford, and Reading, and are being phased out. It can be ridden without L-plates on a Full Motorcycle Licence.

Honda CB750A Hornet

Seat height – 795mm (31.3″). Weight – 192kg (423lb).

We use these for Back to Biking, Mod 1 Training Sessions, Mod 1 Test Sessions, Mod 2 Training Sessions, and Mod 2 Test Sessions for the Full DAS Licence. They are only available in Reading, Stourbridge, Swindon, and Wembley. It can be ridden without L-plates on a Full Motorcycle Licence.
