We are very pleased to announce that we got an amazing deal through Marshall Honda in Reading for new bikes

To take advantage of the change to the rules for Restricted A2 testing we have purchased two Honda CBF300’s to start replacing our Honda CB500F’s. Being incredibly light, but still easily capable of doing the speeds for the Module 1 Test, these are an excellent stepping stone between a 125cc and a 650cc. This will benefit students moving up on to a bigger bike, and of course everyone taking a Restricted A2 motorcycle licence.

In addition to the CBF300’s we have also bought five new Honda CB750A Hornets for our Direct Access Scheme fleet. These are slightly lighter than our existing Suzuki SV650’s with about the same seat height. The parallel twin engine is very torquey making easy work of the Module 1 test and allowing early gear shifts to make speeds of 20mph comfortable in 3rd gear. We hope that these will be a great success and add to our student’s experience of learning to ride at Lightning Motorcycle Training.
