The 3rd European Licencing Directive (3DLD) comes into effect in 12 months time. This is going to have a considerable effect on many people wishing to have a full motorcycle licence from that date. Please follow this link to read more about what will change and who it will effect.

We're really pleased to announce that Abingdon Honda are giving us the full weight of their support. As of 23rd January 2012 the Motorcycle Theory Test will have new questions, but for the first time these questions will not be published (so buying a DVD-ROM to practice on will not have up to date questions). The DSA want "riders to understand the principals behind safe rider theory".

After only six months of tinkering Lightning Motorcycle Training can now offer a new website after 8 good years with the old one. This one allows us to use video which means that in due course we will be able to release training videos on our site. In the meantime we hope that there is plenty of information for anyone new to the world of learning to ride a motorcycle.
